I've seen a lot of things and I have to say that these scams have been evolving really fast in the last 2 or 3 years. At first, it was just something like my dad died (and you still get those), but this one is much different. This one is about a guy who put my name in his will. Imagine that. He dies, I get some money. Cool. US $1 million. And no phone call, no letter, no angry siblings, just an email. Hmmm... Is that a scam?!

Well... Jason is being sought, but he's still just a fictional character invented around 1980. That being said, these scams are not fiction. If the scammer can get a hold of your money, they won't hesitate!

I also received notification and supposedly I'm to receive $10,000,000 on Wednesday. If they try to get money from my account they are in for a rude awakening. It won't pay much. I alerted my banks Relationship officer. She is watching! Bummer I could really put the money to good use. Oh well, I've never gotten something for nothing. Glad I didn't get too excited!

Yeah, you should never give them information about your bank account even if it would still be difficult for them to retrieve the money, that's quite a risk. Of course, sending a check to anyone includes pretty much all your banking information (name, address, all the numbers, and even your signature!)
