Pure Spam—Random Content

These days I got an increase of Random Content. And that's just plain... weird. I can understand the concept of sending emails to sell things such as Viagra and Porn, but emails which are randomly generated with content randomly taken from websites, I don't get it.

If you wanted to write an article about wasted resources, this is a good one. A tool which searches for websites, takes sentences, put them in an email and randomly sends them to people. If you do that by the million, as they certainly are doing, you get hundred of dollars in electricity. This means you take away water from rivers where fish would gladly swim, or you generate more nuclear waste, or you participate to the extra CO2 in the air with the wasted coil being burn for these emails. And now... even more waste: this page!

Okay... I see. Actually, these are HTML pages but of course, with pine I cannot see images. So putting a background with an image in my email, not useful! Plus, the text is more than likely going to be over the background image which did not load fast (I mean, super slow!) and plus it is one of these where you cannot read because they put colors in the text. Well... You can see one of those here.
