Welcome and happy reading!

Since, like anyone else, I receive tons of scam emails and snail mail letters, I decided to present here some of these. All of these (and many more which I just delete) are scams. This means, what the senders have in mind is to racket one of us. And according to what I've seen, they do succeed quite often.

If you have similar letters in your mailbox, either disregard or play with the person knowing that you can't give him (or her) any information about:

  1. Your bank account,
  2. Your address — or any valid address if that matter,
  3. Your family, and
  4. any other information that you judge private or even intimate.

Ha! I say "Your"... even if you don't like your neighbor at all, don't give his information either. The Internet leaves tracks (hackers in the US are being caught one after another!) and you would certainly be in even bigger trouble.

In the meantime, I hope you will enjoy reading these letters as I do myself once in a while. 8-)I do not always add comments with the letters since I usually don't have time to do so, but there would often be a lot of joke to tell!

WARNING: This following email has nothing to do with ITE. This is some scammer who either wants your money or wants to use your bank account to launder money. Note that when you read this email it sounds like that company, ITE, is selling pretty much everything there is.

Yet another bank. And this one... a little more and it would be in the city where I live! 8-) I'm in the next town over, but hey! That's really close. So I could have a personal account in that bank, couldn't I?

Hey! First one I get with some arabic in it. 8-)

I suppose the arabic is the translation of the English (or the other way around rather!) The funny one in this email is the subject which says that I have to fix my SSL server. Reading the email, it says that the bank upgraded their service and we have to do something with that. Like if changing the SSL Server would cause anything different?! SSL Server?! I thought Apache was the Server and SSL was the support to encrypt the data transmitted...

Okay... I usually don't put too much spam on my scam web page, but this one is really good. I mean, read that email, it sounds 100% profesional. Just as if the spammer actually learned how to write a real prop.! Maybe even he paid to get some info on how to write such an email or got someone to write it for him (instead of spending all of his money on a 52" TV screen.)

Ein email aus Deutsch! Okay, I'll stop there with my German... Now the interesting thing here is that the Umlaut start only later in the email. Well... maybe all the words before don't need any. Notice also that this is in German, sent from voila.fr and in regard to a Spanish lottery. I think I won, again!

Hey! The IRS owes me money! Cool! 8-) Got one about the U.K. tax office too. Well... the truth is that so far I'ven't seen the IRS sending me emails in that regard. So I shall consider this email a scam. And my return was not that number anyway.
