Welcome and happy reading!

Since, like anyone else, I receive tons of scam emails and snail mail letters, I decided to present here some of these. All of these (and many more which I just delete) are scams. This means, what the senders have in mind is to racket one of us. And according to what I've seen, they do succeed quite often.

If you have similar letters in your mailbox, either disregard or play with the person knowing that you can't give him (or her) any information about:

  1. Your bank account,
  2. Your address — or any valid address if that matter,
  3. Your family, and
  4. any other information that you judge private or even intimate.

Ha! I say "Your"... even if you don't like your neighbor at all, don't give his information either. The Internet leaves tracks (hackers in the US are being caught one after another!) and you would certainly be in even bigger trouble.

In the meantime, I hope you will enjoy reading these letters as I do myself once in a while. 8-)I do not always add comments with the letters since I usually don't have time to do so, but there would often be a lot of joke to tell!

I put this one because that's the first email I get that's fully in arabic!

Fully? Well except for the header, but that's normal. However, the name of the GIF image in there was using non-arabic characters.

Ah! Ah! Ah! Ça c'est de l'anglais traduit avec Google Translate ou autre traducteur automatique et recopié dans une email sans les accents. Tràs difficile à lire, évidemment!

Pay attention here... First you write your name (My Ahmed) and then you write: "Best Regards". Cool hey!? If your teacher ever told you that you could not write correctly, just reply me and I'll talk to that teacher of yours.

His mobile... +226... that sounds like Burkina Faso. Hey! Look at that! He's not a liar! He says he lives in Ouagadougou and thus in Burkina Faso! So the $22 million must be real too! He! He! It was just some funny deduction (what? dodgy?! Noooo! Not at all!)

Hmmmm... A commercial bank writing to me about my banking card? I guess that guy needs to learn a bit more about credit cards! Anyway...

This one is funny. Okay. So he wants to purchase stuff from my website. How does he even know I have a website?! And if he wants to purchase stuff, why isn't he a bit more aware of the products I carry? And for his credit card, does he have one that is both Visa and Mastercard?!

Interesting... the subject is in French, the email is in English. I guess the subject will make a few French speakers look at the email... Also the name "Giselle" is spelled "Gisele" in the email address (which is the French spelling: Gisèle.)

I liked this one because I work with a lot of people with contracts. This looks very much like someone who understands that concept. Well... in the subject line that is.
